Exploring the growth of Bacillus aryabhattai, a beneficial bacteria for agriculture
Keywords:
Agriculture, Bacillus aryabhattai, microorganismsAbstract
The excessive use of pesticides in agriculture to control pests is causing more contamination of soils and surface waters. Currently, studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of microorganisms in plant development and in the degradation of polluting substances. In this work, the spore germination capacity and multiplication of Bacillus aryabhattai were evaluated through liquid fermentation, using three different media. The samples presented bacterial counts higher than the initial count, which indicates that the medium used are suitable for the growth of this bacteria.
