Abstract

There are many enzymatic bioprocesses that produce alcoholic mixtures, and these are becoming more and more relevant in today’s world. Pervaporation is presented as an energy efficient alternative for the separation of these types of mixtures. Three relevant applications are presented in this article: biomass treatment, food industry and biofuel generation.
